A highly proficient set piece operator, Rory's lineout throwing is extremely accurate and his aggressive scrummaging has earned the respect of team mates and opposition alike.This set piece proficiency combined with his back row like mobility and skill set has seen Rory establish himself as an integral member of the Irish team.
Rory's leadership potential was realised in his appointment as Ulster captain in 2007 and Irish captain for the 2009 Irish tour of North America.
The consistency of Rory Best's performances were recognised with his Province Ulster with his 100th cap in 2010.
