John Muldoon Although predominately a blindside flanker, John has the ability to cover any of the three back row positions and often has for Connacht.

The Galwegian excels in the ruck and maul situation and does most of his best work at close quarters.His uncompromising  tackling style, robust ball carrying, effective lineout jumping and uncanny knack of popping up with crucial tries make him an invaluable member of his much loved provincial side Connacht.

His abrasive style caught the eye of the Irish management and he has played for the Irish A team since 2006.

John's inspiration by action style of leadership was recognised by Connacht coach Michael Bradley who installed the popular team man as captain of Connacht in 2008.

John's undoubted ability was recognised in the form of selection for Ireland's 2009 Summer tour of North America where he acheived his first cap against Canada. His leadership ability was also recognised by Irish management as John was installed as captain of Ireland A's 2009 Churchill Cup campaign.
