Ian’s natural attacking inclination coupled with his searing pace and ability to step off both feet make him a potent player in attack.
Endowed with natural handling and distribution skills, Ian has developed a maturity in his decision making, communication and game appreciation skills. Accomplished at restarts, kicking out of hand and an extremely accurate goal kicker, his natural left foot provides further tactical kicking options.
A player with instinctive footballing ability, his non-drinking lifestyle and mischievous nature make him a popular squad member. After a successful period of development at the Tigers, Ian decided to return to his native Ulster in 2008 to further his Irish ambitions.
