Cai Griffiths
Born in Bangor North Wales, Cai Griffiths made his debut in professional rugby playing for the Ospreys against Leinster 2003. Since then Cai Griffiths has continued to represent the region where he has won over 100 caps, playing in the Magners League, the Rabbo Direct Pro 12 League, the LV and Heineken Cups.
Having been capped by Wales at U18 and U19 levels, Cai Griffiths has developed into an imposing physical specimen, and has demonstrated his versatility by successfully playing regularly for Ospreys at loose-head and at tight. As understudy to Lions prop Adam Jones, Cai Griffiths has developed a thorough understanding of set piece mechanics to become a powerful scrummager, and key lineout lifter. For such a big man Cai Griffiths also possesses considerable pace, which when combined with excellent handling skills, allows him to contribute in many areas of the game outside of the set pieces.
Cai Griffiths makes a positive contribution to life off the pitch, and his congenial persona and intellect make him a popular and integral member of any squad. |
